The condenser is the part of your air conditioning system that is usually located outside, on the back, or side of your house. The condenser plays an important role in keeping your house cool. It’s job is to absorb heat from inside of your house, where it then transfers it back outside and dissipates it into the surrounding air. Without the condenser, your air conditioning system won’t work.
Your evaporator coil — also known as an A-coil — is usually located inside the house, attached to your system. A crucuial part to your air conditioning system, it’s main job is to “absorb” the hot air inside your house. Over time, your a-coil will get dirty, and possibly clog up. A dirty or stopped up a-coil will cause your system to stop cooling. In some cases, it can even cause water damage to your home!
